Together, we are calling on the Government to keep its promise not to increase VAT. This would keep private hire trips in line with other essential forms of transport that apply zero or reduced VAT rates. Stopping the taxi tax would prevent damaging fare increases for passengers and protect tens of thousands of drivers’ livelihoods.
